Chemical Metering Systems

Peristaltic pumps represent the application of one of the simplest of pumping technologies - squeeze a tube and product comes out the end - squeeze it repetitively and achieve continuous positive flow. Introduced commercially in the mid-1950’s, early peristaltic pumps had severe limitations due to the lack of reliable hose and tube materials. Modern technology has given us new rubber compounds, chemically resistant thermoplastic tubing and manufacturing techniques to provide rugged, highly reliable pumps for a wide variety of applications, including flows to 250 gpm and pressures to 220 psi.

Today’s heavy-duty peristaltic pumps are designed to handle highly abrasive slurries, viscous or shear sensitive fluids, and aggressive chemicals that would normally result in severe damage to rotors, stators, gears, mechanical seals and check valves of other more traditional positive displacement designs. They are ideal for metering, batching and transfer applications. Peristaltic pumps are problem solvers that provide improved reliability and simple maintenance in the toughest service.
